For the “World Boys and Girls Art Exhibition” held in Dubai, 147 colourful paintings by children were displayed which represented 134 countries and regions including the United Arab Emirates and other countries in the middle east such as Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Palestine etc.

SGI through these works of art by children from around the world was able to achieve the following:

• To get to know each other and better understand one another; i.e. to develop the bond of friendship and trust with the local populace.
• To share the message of peace and sanctity of life.
• To identify areas of mutual understanding and contribution, particularly through the medium of dialogue, cultural and educational exchange.
• To introduce Soka Gakkai’s seventy-four year history (conceived in 1930 in Japan) as a Society striving for the Creation of Value and cherishing the global vision of a peaceful world.
• To introduce Dr. Daisaku Ikeda (born in 1928); as the president of SGI who has been selflessly pursuing the values of peace, culture and education for the past 57 years
