Tsunami relief efforts – In response to the devastating Tsunami in many parts of Asia , SGI members contributed generously in cash & in kind. Cash was used to buy medicines and necessary clothing for the needy. All the relief material was collected & packed in a cargo container and sent to South East Asia in close association with IAHV (International Association for Human Values). |

Pakistan Earthquake relief – SGI members reacted promptly to the grave situation faced by people of Pakistan due to the devastating Earthquake. Members came forward and donated cash and personal belongings. Blankets, medicines and clothing were all packed together and deposited in the cargo containers arranged by Dubai Aid & Humanitarian city. |

Gujarat Earthquake Relief – SGI members answered the call for help in the wake of the Gujarat Earthquake. Members contributed cash for the needy through Prime Ministers Relief Fund in India . |

Walkathon – An 80 member strong SGI contingent participated in the walkathon organized by World Food Program in Dubai ; 'Fight Hunger - Walk the World'. The aim of the Walkathon was to help end child hunger by 2015, as part of the UN’s Millennium Dev elopment goals. The money raised as part of the registration fees was given to poor families as inventive to send their child to school by providing them with meals at school. |
